Art Director (Game Art Director)

We are 8K Games, a team that creates successful casual and mid-core mobile games for a global audience. Our games attract millions of players, and we are currently looking for an Art Director who will define the visual style of our projects, lead the art team, and implement cutting-edge art solutions

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

🎨 Developing and Implementing Visual Strategy:

- Define a unique artistic style for casual/mid-core mobile game projects.

- Ensure the quality of 2D/3D graphics, and create style guides and references.

- Optimize graphics for mobile platforms and introduce modern art trends.

- Collaborate with game designers and developers to balance art and gameplay.

👥 Leading the Art Team:

- Build and manage a team of artists (2D, 3D, animators, UI/UX).

- Implement efficient art production workflows (Concept → Rendering → Review → Animation → Integration into the game).

- Oversee and approve hiring art specialists for internal and partner projects.

📊 Process Optimization, Analytics, and Partner Collaboration:

- Utilize Gantt charts to monitor and adjust development progress.

- Analyze trends and develop visual strategies for new projects.

- Cooperate with outsourcing teams, ensuring the quality of external work.

- Participate in presentations and negotiations with partners and investors.

- Develop and maintain art documentation (guidelines, technical specifications, references, gets).

🎥 Marketing and Promotional Art:

- Oversee the creation of trailers, key art, and promo materials.

- Work with marketing teams to test A/B creative strategies.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

✔️ 3+ years of experience as a Lead Artist / Art Director.

✔️ Expertise in 2D and 3D graphics (concept art, UI, animation, VFX).

✔️ Proficiency in Photoshop, Blender/Maya, Unity, Spine, Figma, etc.

✔️ Experience managing teams and optimizing internal art processes.

✔️ Understanding of the mobile market and casual/midcore game styles.

✔️ Ability to create and manage art documentation.

✔️ Adaptability to changing project needs and strong problem-solving skills.

✔️ English proficiency for communication with international partners.

Nice to Have:

➕ Experience with AI tools for graphics.

➕ Knowledge of marketing graphics and A/B testing.

➕ Experience in cooperation within R&D for game development.
